Preface

This book, like “How to Heal and Help Others,” is the fruitage of years of teaching, practicing and study. The exercises and suggestions have been tested and proven effective. All who practice them will find them so. The author would have paid a large price for such a work as this one if he could have gotten it when starting out in life. There may be other books like it, but knowing the general works bearing on the subject of help and healing, I do not know of any work just like it and covering the field so thoroughly and practically. The table of contents will show something of the variety as well as the breadth of subjects discussed. It is a book for young people, middle-aged and for the elderly and has a message for all. The exercises and suggestions can be used alone, the Scripture references bear on the subjects discussed and have been carefully chosen and the discussions have been presented in a simple and direct style so that all classes can easily understand what is said. The author will be glad for any suggestions from the readers so that he may make any changes or additions in order to make this book as perfect and helpful as possible. There is a single desire in the author’s heart, and that is to help his fellowmen to get the best out of their lives by putting the best into them.
