Preface
Wuewn the last edition of this work was published one critic expressed the view that the usefulness of the book might be increased without adding to its bulk if less space were given to the description of operative procedures and more space were allotted to pathology. I have considered this suggestion worthy of adoption, and in the present edition have extended the sections which deal: with the pathology of abnormalities in position of the teeth and diseases of the periodontal membrane and have omitted the description of the technical details of the insertion of fillings.
For figures and blocks I am indebted to :—
