UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

HYDE PARK SKETCHES.

Preface

The title of these sketches was adopted by me, because Hyde Park was the best place for seeing a variety of people; and they were hastily written, as one friend would write to another.

I have not submitted the MS. to the inspection of any one, and I am not sure of the favorable reception of the book ; but I can only express the hope that it will be kindly received.
