THE STUDENT'S HAND-BOOK

OF

AND

Preface

The demand for a Second Edition of this Hand-Book will sufficiently explain its raison d> etre two years ago. The present Edition has been considerably enlarged, and in many parts re- written, the author having tried to give the largest amount of information in the fewest words. The best authorities have in all cases been consulted, and to these the author would refer with grateful acknowledgment.
